CARE IN A RURAL AFRICAN COMMUNTIY
The Clinic's small emergency room is designed for triaging and treating minor injuries, accidents, and illnesses.
A calm and peaceful space for childbirth, encouraging active labouring with a minimal intervention approach.
The Clinic midwives are trained to give antenatal care, postnatal care, family planning advice, and infertility counselling.
On-site specialist under-5 nurses for assessing the Clinic's littlest patients.
The Clinic is currently fundraising to construct a laboratory to facilitate further diagnostic investigations.
Funded by EthiopiAid UK, this project combines daily supportive and educational Circles with outreach work for complete community health.
The Clinic has a small pharmacy to fill prescriptions not only for the patients of the Clinic but also from the local hospital.
To ensure that clients attending the Clinic feel safe, supported, and empowered in their health concerns, and are cared for by compassionate, happy, knowledgeable, and high-skilled staff who will always make the health and well-being of the client their priority.
To ensure that clients have an individualised plan for their care, made in partnership with Clinic staff.
Initially funded through philanthropic grants, and now supported by international charitable organisations and NGOs, the Clinic is aiming to be self-sufficient within two years, based on a charging system for services offered. This will also allow the Clinic to continue to provide on-going subsidised medical care and treatment to the poorest rural populations, alongside the general clinical operations.
