Founder and Director

With a degree from the University of Cambridge in medical anthropology, Indie completed her midwifery training in the UK before working in Malawi, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, and finally Ethiopia, where she met Atsede.

Together, they wanted to create a place to offer healthcare driven by compassion and excellence, and so the Clinic was born.

Indie has published in several midwifery journals and is currently considering returning to university to complete a PhD.

Founder and Clinical Manager

Atsede is a Gurage midwife with vast experience and knowledge, having led the high-risk maternity services at the referral hospital for over 5 years, where she was the Lead Clinician for Obstetric and Neonatal Emergencies, as well as undertaking specialist training in HIV/AIDS care.

Atse has recently been shortlisted for the IME International Midwife of the Year Award 2019,  of which everyone at the Clinic is very proud.

Atse has just finished her penultimate year of her BSc in Nursing.
